Artist's Description

Frozen Lake on the Beartooth Highway is seen going west from the west summit. The long red mountain behind the lake is Beartooth Butte, and the two tiny mountains peaking above and right of Beartooth Butte are Pilot and Index mountains, which loom above Cooke City Montana. Pilot and Index are each over eleven thousand feet high.
